Goodbye to solar panels, the future is these spheres: record power and even work with the Moon – ECOticias

Solar panels are being pushed aside with the emergence of spheres. They have a record power output and even work with the moon. As technology advances, different proposals for harnessing solar energy are appearing on the scene, such as the metallic cell or the spheres that we will explain below.

It is clear that solar energy is booming and more and more people are turning to it for their energy supply. Why? Because it is an inexhaustible and totally natural source of energy, ideal for advancing in the energy transition that the world is going through. Currently, its implementation at industrial and domestic level has represented a considerable change for humanity, making it easier to take care of the planet.

Due to its importance for living beings and the planet in general, several manufacturers and researchers are being encouraged to develop new proposals beyond solar panels.

Solar panels are history: these spheres produce energy even from the moon.

The solar spheres we are talking about are called Rawlemon, a sphere-shaped lens that generates solar energy. It is 70% more efficient than conventional solar panels due to its system of concentration and amplification of solar rays.

Its IndieGogo campaign was a success, raising $217,000, almost double the amount needed to start manufacturing. In fact, it is already possible to purchase these solar spheres on the website of Rawlemon (eponymous brand).

Aesthetically, it appears to be a spherical crystal ball, an idea that came from the mind of the German architect André Broessel. Eight years ago he began working on this piece with the goal of creating a more efficient and less expensive solar energy, a technology accessible to everyone in all parts of the world.

The sphere is filled with water and magnifies the sun’s rays by more than 10,000 times. This makes it possible to produce energy from the moon or the sun even on cloudy days. Tiny solar panels are located directly underneath the sphere, where a magnified beam of light arrives. This concept is not new.

Concentration and amplification of the sun’s rays using water appeared centuries ago. The ‘problem’ is that the moon and the sun are in constant movement, but Rawlemon has the solution: a system of positioning with respect to the sun and the moon with which it manages to be up to 70% more efficient than a traditional solar panel.

Goodbye solar panels, hello glass spheres: That’s how energy is produced even with the Moon

This method is being adapted so that it can also be used in the windows of buildings, designed to replace traditional glazing. Particularly important for their unique design has been the fact that they have dispensed with sophisticated technological systems or devices, the cost of which would have made it more difficult to disseminate this highly efficient technology.

They use virtually nothing but glass, water and small solar panels, plus the positioning software the company has created. Rawlemon needs little to produce energy 24 hours a day.

Why are these spheres so important?

The sun is the great star of our planetary system and plays a vital role in the development of life. For this reason, the appearance of innovative inventions such as these spheres is a great success. The sun reaches every corner of the Earth, bringing invaluable benefits. Moreover, its energy can be applied in many different fields, many more than we can conceive of today.

In this context, solar panels fall short when humanity demands an ever-increasing supply. These spheres could replace, or at least complement, traditional solar systems.
